Marium Tolson-Murtty, PhD(s), MEd, BEd, BA(Hons), OCT , Director of Anti-Racism Organizational Change
The role of the Director of Anti-Racism & Organizational Change was created to support program and policy development and delivery related to Anti-Racism initiatives at the University of Windsor. Ms. Tolson-Murtty provides advice, analysis and guidance on anti-racism policy and efforts, and leads institutional initiatives for concrete actions to enact and monitor positive change regarding systemic and institutional racism.
What does the Director of Anti-Racism Organizational Change do?
The Director of Anti-Racism Organizational Change is an institutional champion for the critically important work of advancing Anti-Racist policies and practices on campus. The position is responsible for awareness-raising and leading educational initiatives across the university, as well as public and institutional communications related to Anti-Racist efforts.
Ms. Tolson-Murtty identifies potential challenges and opportunities to advance Anti-Racist practice, and nurture an inclusive and equitable campus, while providing strategic advice on issues, programs, and policy initiatives.
The Director works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to support the design and delivery of Anti-Racism program initiatives, while providing analytics and monitoring internal and external anti-racism best practices.
Ms. Tolson-Murtty, along with her staff, work to address issues and concerns, of racialized students, staff, while providing expertise and knowledge to the office.
