Registration Issues

The Faculty of Education has received a large volume of emails indicating numerous challenges with course registration. The Registrar’ Office is currently investigating the source of the problems. It is a matter under the control of the Registrar’s Office, not the Faculty of Education. We will endeavour to update as soon as possible and ask for your continued patience as staff in the Registrar’s Office work to resolve the matter.
Fall 2022 Course Schedules and Registration

Registration for B.Ed. courses will open through UW insite Student on Tuesday, August 23rd at 1:00 p.m.
Teacher Candidates will be sent personal course schedules and registration instructions by email in advance of registration opening.
Many UWindsor student email addresses in Faculty of Education records are not working (inactive, not available, etc.). Please contact IT Services directly if you need assistance with your account. As per UWindsor policy, correspondence is permitted via UWindsor-assigned email addresses only.

- The Reciprocal Learning Program , Vulnerability, Marginalization and Education and Experiential Environmental Sustainability Education options provide opportunities for international travel; however, participation in the international travel component is not a requirement of the course. The international travel will require additional expense from the student, although there are instructor-led initiatives to help offset these costs.

Tuberculin (TB) Test Requirements
Important Information
The Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) is mandatory, and all University of Windsor Faculty of Education teacher candidates are required to obtain an Original Police Vulnerable Sector Check annually via their local police agency. Teacher Candidates must submit a scanned copy of the PVSC to educforms@uwindsor.ca by Friday, September 9 th . Any/all fees are the financial responsibility of the student. 英雄联盟竞猜平台直播 must have a clear PVSC before they can enter a school for practicum and/or volunteer hours . The Faculty of Education will not accept a Criminal Record Check (CRC) or police clearances provided by the Ontario Education Services Corporation (OESC).
IMPORTANT: Please note that obtaining and submitting your Police Vulnerable Sector Check and your TB Test results by the September 9th deadline is imperative. 英雄联盟竞猜平台直播 who fail to obtain and submit required documentation by the deadlines will be at-risk for program removal, and will NOT be provided a fall semester practicum placement.
We understand that some of you may not be eligible to obtain a PVSC at this time due to your age. Once you turn 18 and are eligible, you are required to complete your PVSC application and submit the results to us.
- Please retain several copies for your records. A copy must be kept with you at all times while in placement and must be available to be presented at the request of the principal.
Teacher candidates are responsible for meeting all Faculty of Education placement policy requirements and for conforming to any additional policies in the schools where their practicums have been confirmed.

Instructions and Forms
Your Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) must be obtained from the Police Service serving the area in which you reside currently . We strongly advise you to begin this process as soon as possible as processing times vary between Police Services and can take from two weeks to three months to obtain.
Some Police Agencies may require a letter to from the Faculty of Education to explain the need for the Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC). If applicable, you must complete and submit the Agency letter specific to your Police Agency, along with your PVSC application (see below).

We understand this list is not exhaustive, so if your home Police Service is not listed, please contact them directly. Please note some Agencies provide the results electronically. It is your responsibility to download the results and provide a copy of your PVSC to the Faculty of Education by the September 9 th deadline.
For current residents of Windsor and Amherstburg, ON
For students obtaining their PVSC via the

you must be a current resident of Windsor or the Town of Amherstburg to apply for a

The Records Check office is available by Appointment only or applications can be completed online.

For students obtaining their PVSC via the Sarnia Police Service , you must be a resident of Sarnia to apply for a Level 3: Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) through this agency. 2 forms of Government Identification are required. Applications can be completed online.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP)
For current residents of Tecumseh, ON
For students obtaining their PVSC via the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) (such as Tecumseh, etc.), must contact their local OPP detachment to book an appointment for a Level 3: Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC). 2 forms of Government Identification and an Agency letter are required.
- OPP Agency Letter - this has to be dated, signed by the applicant and your name has to be filled out prior to submitting to the OPP station.

For students obtaining their PVSC via the Toronto Police, you are required to complete a Consent to Disclosure Form .
Send an email to educforms@uwindsor.ca to request a form. Be sure to provide your name, address and student number. An official Consent to Disclosure form will then be provided to you. Applications for a Level 3: Vulnerable Sector Check are completed by submitting the completed form, along with payment to 40 College Street, Toronto, Ontario, M5G 2J3.

Tuberculin (TB) Test Requirements
All teacher candidates must be tested for TB and have a clear (negative) result before entering a school. Below is a link to the form that you will need to print and bring with you to your Family Doctor (or Clinic) and have it completed. This form must be stamped and signed by the physician in order to be accepted. TB test results are valid for a 2-year period . Please note: if you completed the TB test last year and submitted the results, you do not need to complete it again this year.
SUBMISSION OF RESULTS: The original copy of your TB test results must be scanned and submitted electronically via email to educforms@uwindsor.ca . The deadline to submit is Friday, September 9 th , 2022. Only scanned documents will be accepted.
Please retain the original copy in a safe location. 英雄联盟竞猜平台直播 will be directed/required to submit the original hard copy to Field Experience Office, Faculty of Education in the future.
Please note you are required to complete a "one-step" (Mantoux) TB Test . If your TB test result is positive, you will be required to complete the second step, which is the chest x-ray.
